As mentioned, the Wanyo Terra Guides live in the realm called “Wanyo.” Currently, all guides reside on one island called the Terra Guide Sanctuary. Due to poaching within the early civilization of Wanyo, they were put onto this protected island by the realm's leaders. There, the Terra Guides were able to regrow their reduced numbers into a more comfortable population to the point where it is okay for them to leave the island and explore other realms if they choose. The Sanctuary itself is still considered sacred ground and is one of the most protected places in the realm.

Terra Guides are experts in patience in the face of adversity. They prefer the mindset of changing your view and controlling your emotions to make the best out of any situation. Even the most challenging situation can be solved or mediated through compassion. They believe a calm mind leads to breakthroughs. So long as you keep working towards goals with compassion and patience, you can’t go wrong in their eyes. The same goes for any creative pursuits you have. They eagerly encourage others to pursue their dreams as long as they know that success can take time and that hard work should be valued more than sneakily trying to get ahead of any competition. In fact, collaboration is more celebrated than competition, even if this collaboration may not last forever. Everyone has the same goal in mind: success and happiness, and they believe everyone should have a fair shot at it without getting in the way of each other.

Terra Guides look like a realistic-looking Torterra from Pokemon, however, without the spikes and its entire body except for the shell made of tree bark. The shell itself is Earth, like compacted soil, but plant life can still grow off it. The appearance of Terra Guides varies greatly, but one thing that stays the same throughout all lifeforms is that they always have a shell and at least one tree growing from it. First, there is the matter of whether they were born on land or in water. If on land, they take the form of tortoises. If in water, they take the form of turtles.

Next, there are the seasons. In the Spring and Summer, they both have lush green moss and grass upon their shell with a tree with green leaves. However, Spring Terra Guides have a better chance to be pink and have cherry blossom trees than Summer Terra Guides. Autumn Terra Guides are beautiful reds and oranges. Winter Terra Guides have white shells reminiscent of a snowy landscape with evergreen trees white at the tips as if covered in snow.
